I've really got nothing interesting to report, so I will give you an update in bullets...
*Sydney and I started TaeKwonDo 6 weeks ago and will be testing for our Orange Belt on Thursday. I haven't mentioned it because I wasn't sure how I would like it, or if I'd even be able to memorize the forms. Surprisingly, I'm really digging it...especially the board breaking. I can now break the brown board (black board is most difficult) on a regular basis.
Sydney is really enjoying it, too. And, it's a great way for us to spend some quality time together.
*Sydney has been playing in a volleyball league at church on Sunday nights with a team of jr. high students. She was excited to be asked, because she is the only 7th grader on the team. They get their butts kicked every week, but they seem to have a blast anyway.
*HH is totally hot and a terrific husband!
*Reilly and Griffin are playing in a basketball league on Saturday mornings. This is their first experience with organized b-ball and they are loving it. Truthfully, I'm a little surprised at Griff. He doesn't seem to mind the running involved...and he HATES to run. Reilly, of course, is a natural. She played the first half of the season with a cast on her wrist, and it didn't slow her down a bit. During her last game, she made 8 or 9 baskets.
*Reilly came to me in a fit of panic over her "unibrow" last week. So,
all the females in the fam are now waxing our eyebrows and mustaches and shaving our legs. We, Strong women, are a hairy lot:O
*Griffin has been pestering me to clean and organize our basement storage room, so that he can build a fort under the stairs. Yesterday, we spent a couple of hours whipping the room into shape. We threw away tons of junk and cleaned it up nicely, if I do say so myself. He's got big plans for this room...even suggesting that we eat Easter dinner there:o
Best dessert ever...you've gotta try it!
*HH celebrated his 38th birthday in January. Not bad for an old guy...don't you think?
