Modesty Becomes Her

When Sydney appeared in the kitchen tonight in her new Old Navy pajama bottoms and layered tanks I said, "You know, you don't need to layer those tanks just to go to bed."
She replied, "But mom, this one (the pink tank) comes down way too low."

I should just appreciate her attempt at modesty and forget the fact that I will be doing extra laundry... I mean, it won't always be like this, right??????

Sure it will! You'll NEVER have power stuggles about clothes and modesty!
Wait, what? Shut up?
Good girl.

As someone who has a 20 year old living with her take it from me - DO THE EXTRA LAUNDRY!!! I'd give anything to have my niece say something was too low, or too short, or too skimpy.

Sydney is adorable!!

My daughter does the same thing. Shocking, considering we let them play with Bratz! Thanks for your comment. My ego need the stroking.

Layered is in. I dress fashionably for bed just in case I have to be rescued by my local fire department in my sleep.

yes...modesty is good these days. just look around, and think of the alternative! then consider yourself lucky!
my girl is the same way...and as a result there IS twice as much laundry. but... i finally came to the conclusion....thirteen is a good age to learn how to wash her OWN clothes!!! (probably too old to begin actually) but the time has come. maybe then she'll learn not to change her clothes five times a day...and throw the clean ones onto the floor!
anyhow.... enjoy the teen years... i am! (NOT)

It's sweet to see such a young girl so modest in her own house. I can't believe what some of the young girls around my town wear in public!

Yes, do the extra laundry. She could be wearing so little that you could have no laundry to do! Now that would be scary!

I love her modesty! You couldn't ask for any better! She could be bearing her midriff and prancing around. :)

Boys are SO opposite. I can't GET mine to be modest. I beg. I plead... ~snicker~
