Grand National Champion

HK (my niece) performed with her eXtreme-mini cheer squad in Topeka, KS last weekend and these cuties took home top honors. Here are some pictures from the competition:

Don't you love this pict. of little Molly??? She's a cutie pie, but ornery as all get out!!! She trimmed her hair, all by herself, while my mom was watching her a few weeks ago:0

I'm still in shock about this cheerleading thing for these little girls. I had no idea it existed until you mentioned it before. And the picture of Molly! That cracks me up - she just looks like she's trying to think of what she can do next.

Do they have open competitions where people other than families go? I think I'd like to see it. We just didn't have this back in the dark ages when I was a kid but I do remember pretending to be a cheerleader at basketball games when I was little.

DW- I haven't been to one either...so far they've only been in St. Louis & Kansas. If they have one around here, we should go together. Is it a date????

the girls next competition is in STL and it is free to get in. That's the one you all should go to. Some of them are $25 a head to get in...hopefully, that keeps some of the weirdo's out :0. You all would be amazed. Whenever I get the DVD's back, I will get you copies & you all can watch. Do you remember ever watching ESPN when they had college cheer competitions? It's like that but the girls are younger. They are amazing. I I checked out blogspot for "cheer" blogspots yesterday & there are none. I am still thinking about doing one!
